Shreya Mushroom & Spawn Laboratory is one of the (High Productive multi-type Strains like- Button, Oyster, and Milky Mushroom. SM&SL was established a few years ago in Dehradun city of Uttarakhand State and presently supplies various types of mushroom spawns in the hilly Garhwal and Kumaon region of the State, adjoining places Uttar Pradesh and Delhi Hariyana State. A laboratory expert team with their knowledge and experience and quality control is engaged in the laboratory for high productivity of all strains.

In recent times, much importance has been given to the cultivation of nutrient-rich crops so that we can meet the demand for nutritional security of India’s ever-increasing population. In this context, a diversified agricultural system is very much needed which includes Mushroom cultivation as well and its production is increasing at an annual rate of 6-7%. Amongst all the edible mushrooms, especially Button and Oyster Mushroom has increased tremendously because of their easy availability of raw materials. In addition, keeping these points in view, SM&SL conducted training Programmes among the farmers, Rural Youth, and Students to make them aware of the scope of Mushroom farming(Spawn Production) in employment generation. The economic analysis of Spawn production was able to get the highest net income of Rs.30 lakhs in the year.
